Kane John Mills is a Devon-based Freelance Dance, Theatre and Spoken Word Artist (Facilitator, Performer, Theatre Maker, Choreographer, Director, Writer, Dramaturg) and Access Consultant who is passionate about highlighting and fighting injustice, championing, uplifting, and celebrating those who experience marginalisation, and using art to create meaningful, impactful, long-term change.

He has extensive experience as a Facilitator, and for over a decade has delivered provision across Dance, Theatre, Physical Theatre, Improvisation, Creative Writing, Spoken Word, and Voice & Movement, for a vast array of contexts, environments, and individuals.

For many years he has performed and toured locally, regionally, nationally & internationally in Dance, Theatre, Poetry, Film, TV, Immersive, Interactive, & Interdisciplinary works for many companies, as well as in his own work.

Kane draws upon a variety of art forms to make bold, relatable, innovative works as an independent artist, in collaboration with others, as commissions for companies/organisations, and as a creative lead for community/socially-engaged projects.

A Disabled and Neurodivergent creative who believes artistic, cultural and educative experiences should be available and accessible to all, he is driven by the desire to break down barriers, dispel incorrect societal preconceptions as to who the arts are ‘for’, and ensure all voices are heard and valued.
