A holiday to beautiful Venice.
Saikat is busy dragging his family around the winding cobbled streets, eating every flavour of gelato, serenading gondoliers, and obsessively thinking about a bloke called Carlo Goldoni, some Venetian twins and the death of his dad.
Come with Saikat as he takes us through the streets of Venice to the hospital wards of Romford and into the inner workings of his brain as he desperately searches for shade from the storm in his mind.
In Search of Goldoni is a new comedic solo show that asks the big questions: what is life really about, what happens when we leave this earth and what the hell is granita menthe?

Picture this, a city with not many bins but too many seagulls. Picture this, a city where you have to travel 100miles to get the right hair products. Picture this, a place where the air is clear and you can see the stars clearly at night. Young People from Plymouth and Exeter, together, they picture this.
The Beyond Face Youth Company as they share their perspectives on living in their cities, from the realities of their hometowns, to disappointments, and to cities that they long to explore.
For Ashlee, the world feels pretty loud and messy right now. There’s so much going on and it's hard to concentrate. They often find themselves sat in this grey space of not knowing how to move forward with things that to them feel massive, but to others seem small. Living in the South West of England, where it feels like no one wants to visit (unless it's to Cornwall to get a pasty), Ashlee struggles with people’s lack of willingness to talk about the things that matter, and no amount of protesting, instagramming or letters to teachers is getting them heard. Something needs to be done, but no one is listening...or are they?

Sitting in the Grey is a story about young people and adults listening to one another, about power, change and navigating the in-betweens and uncertainties that the current world is offering.

Beyond Face were invited by Company Three to join them, Mortal Fools and Prime Theatre for a project titled 'Grow Up Exchange'. Here they created four new full-length plays from the same starting point - the words ‘Grow Up’. Teenagers are told to do this all the time, but are rarely given any space to do so – what do they think of this and how do they feel about growing up in the world? The four groups of young people, from Northumberland, Swindon, Plymouth and London worked together and met over the course of 3 days for a residential to share practice, knowledge and material. Throughout 2024 they will be performing their productions.

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to stay a child forever? Or were you, are you, desperate for adulthood?
What would it feel like to have a choice?
The night before her 14th birthday Mojisola receives a letter inviting her to investigate this choice. Join her as she goes on a journey to navigate whether to grow up or stay young.

Bigger than Lyrics is a visual concept album, but it’s not all about the music. You’ll get to read the lyrics but what you will see, well, that’s bigger than the words themselves.  During this performance, we’ll be sharing 6 tracks, because the album is unfinished… for now.
Bigger than Lyrics has stemmed from Beyond Face’s Double A-Side project funded by the Genesis Kickstart Fund and is supported using public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England. This project brings together performers from the South West and Creatives from London, engaging in conversations around how our environment and location impacts the work we make.
