A holiday to beautiful Venice.
Saikat is busy dragging his family around the winding cobbled streets, eating every flavour of gelato, serenading gondoliers, and obsessively thinking about a bloke called Carlo Goldoni, some Venetian twins and the death of his dad.
Come with Saikat as he takes us through the streets of Venice to the hospital wards of Romford and into the inner workings of his brain as he desperately searches for shade from the storm in his mind.
In Search of Goldoni is a new comedic solo show that asks the big questions: what is life really about, what happens when we leave this earth and what the hell is granita menthe?

What people are saying
"A highly engaging show that effortlessly oscillates between laughter and deeper emotional reflection, blending humour with emotional resonance."
-Bristol 24/7
"In Search of Goldoni swells with universal poignancy and personal insight."
THE PRSD
“In what he describes as a labour of love and loss, Saikat explores the strangeness surrounding death and grief through an ingenious mix of wit and honesty, although a careful edit would sharpen up the focus.”
British Theatre Guide
“In Search of Goldoni is a sweet and soulful play that deserves its prolonged audience applause this evening. The crowd’s reaction is testament to Ahamed’s heartfelt performance; he puts everything into it. Let’s hope he has another holiday booked for after the tour. Bellissimo!”
