Dulcie trained with the National Youth Theatre which is where she developed a passion and understanding of the importance of involving young people in theatre. Following this she worked as a performer and EFL teacher using music and theatre to teach English to international students both in the UK and abroad.
After relocating back to Devon, she discovered her love of producing through working with young people and has been designing talent development and youth programmes in Plymouth, facilitating sessions, delivering Arts Award and produced and tour managed two plays which undertook national tours. She focuses on work which highlights the stories of underrepresented voices, brings theatre to non-traditional spaces and brings people into theatre spaces who don’tusually get the opportunity to.
As well as producing, Dulcie is working on her first show as a writer and theatre maker which is all about swimming and Devon!
